The Nalam Deepalaya Trust was formed by a team of people who are cancer survivors, who were fortunate to be treated at Christian Medical College, Vellore. The seed of the trust was sown by Mr. T. Shanmuga Sundaram, Mr. D. Mohanraj, Mr. E. Thangaraj, Mr. R. Duraisamy, Mr. N. Lakshmanan and 10 other friends who had the same vision. The Nalam Deepalaya Trust officially started operations on the 1st of July 2021.

The poor social healthcare structure of the country and the ignorance of ever-increasing healthcare costs lead to failure to invest in a quality health insurance program. When such people encounter a major illness; the healthcare system appears before as an armed robber ready to sap out their health, wealth and prosperity. The outcome is broken, dejected families seeking material & mental support from society.
